Sketch Card- Amphisbaena

Experimental drawing of an amphisbaena-like dragon on a 2.5"x3.5" sketch card. Coffee washes, watercolor pencils, ink, and gold paint pen.

Tree God

Submission featured in “It’s a Scream: Images from Nightmares” exhibit at Vanderbilt's Sarratt Gallery.

Nature and horror go hand-in-hand, and I love life-next-to-death/death-next-to-life imagery.

Byakhee

Currently on an H.P. Lovecraft kick.

A byakhee is this interdimensional bug-like, bat-like...bird-like......I don't know, it's Lovecraft.
Mechanical pencil sketch touched up in Photoshop.
